On 20 May, MIND and the non-governmental organisation “ABPMP Central Asia Chapter” signed a memorandum of cooperation.
ABPMP (Association of Business Process Management Professionals) is a non-profit, independent professional association committed to advancing best practices in business process management (www.abpmp.org). The ABPMP Kazakhstan Chapter is the first BPM office established in the Central Asian region.
This partnership aims to promote the wider adoption of international standards in business process management across Central Asia.
On 13 May, MIND and A to Z Decisions Kazakhstan Ltd signed a memorandum of cooperation. A to Z Decisions is the exclusive certified training partner of the Global Institute for Innovation Management (GIMI) in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. It also remains the sole provider of GIMI-certified training programmes in Central Asia.
Established in 2009, the Global Institute for Innovation Management (GIMI–IAOIP) is the leading international council for the certification of standards in innovation management. It incorporates ISO (International Organization for Standardization) standards within its framework.
On 10 May 2024, MIND, the National Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Kazakhstan Construction Industry Association signed a trilateral memorandum of cooperation.
The National Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a company that provides a broad range of services in management, strategic consulting, analytics, and regulatory development.
The Kazakhstan Construction Industry Association is a non-profit organisation established to unite members with shared goals and interests in the fields of architecture, urban planning, and construction.
Together with its new partners, MIND plans to implement projects of significant social importance.
On 3 May, a brainstorming session was held at Maqsut Narikbayev University with the participation of design and research teams working on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The teams focused their efforts on the following SDGs:
- Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being
- Goal 4: Quality Education
- Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
- Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
- Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, with particular emphasis on:
- The quality of legislation
- New anti-corruption mechanisms
- The effectiveness of local representative bodies (Maslikhats)
During the collaborative discussions, the teams identified key tasks for analysing the current progress towards achieving the SDGs in the Akmola region.
Additionally, with the support of our partner ESGQ and the personal involvement of Aizhan Khamitova, an engaging facilitation session titled “Know Your Goals” was conducted, helping participants deepen their understanding of the SDG framework.
The session fostered positive energy, valuable networking opportunities, and discussions on future plans and potential collaborations with key stakeholders.
On 3 May 2024, the SDG Accelerator—established jointly by the Public Project Office of the Senate of the Parliament, Maqsut Narikbayev University, and the Akimat of Akmola Region—commenced its journey at the MIND platform.
This significant step in the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals marks a historic milestone for both our country and the global community.
As part of the Accelerator, seven teams have been formed, each focused on achieving a specific Sustainable Development Goal. From health and education to economic growth and equality, these teams are prepared to rise to the challenge and contribute to building a better future.
The official launch of the Accelerator was attended by the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and members of the Senate, underscoring the importance of this initiative at the national level. Maulen Sagatkhanuly expressed his full support and conveyed his expectations for the teams to generate innovative solutions capable of transforming the country for the better.
Each team member is motivated and committed to working intensively over the course of 100 days to develop and pilot projects aimed at eliminating legal barriers and stimulating industrial development. Project managers from 70 countries, all members of the International Project Management Association (IPMA), will join this unique partnership to provide global experience and expertise.
At the conclusion of the 100-day period (9 August this year), the teams will present their results to the Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament, demonstrating their readiness to scale successful initiatives and continue working in the interests of our shared future.
On April 30, 2024, MIND and National Information Technologies JSC signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The mission of National Information Technologies JSC is to advance and transform the “electronic government” ecosystem into a fully digital environment, thereby enhancing interaction between citizens, businesses, and the state.
NIT JSC serves as the operator of the information and communication infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s electronic government system. Our new partner brings 23 years of experience in the digital technology sector.
MIND and NIT JSC plan to jointly implement socially significant projects through the use of innovative IT solutions.
On April 23, 2024, MIND and the Court of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of research and applied activities.
This strategically significant partnership aims to promote the development of scientific research across various sectors, support law enforcement practices, and contribute to the preparation of draft regulations, analytical materials, and policy recommendations.
The AIFC Court operates independently from the judicial system of the Republic of Kazakhstan. For the first time in Central Asia, it introduces a judicial model based on the norms and principles of English and Welsh law. The Court functions in accordance with leading international standards for resolving civil and commercial disputes within the AIFC jurisdiction.
On April 18, 2024, MIND and the NGO Kazakhstan Association of Healthcare Managers signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of scientific research and applied activities. This partnership was initiated as part of the strategic collaboration between the Project Office of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and MNU, and is aimed at conducting joint research and exchanging experience in the context of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
As is widely known, the third UN Sustainable Development Goal is “Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.” The SDGs serve as an important framework for socially significant initiatives, including those involving partnerships in the healthcare sector.
“The expertise of our new partners spans various industries and can contribute significantly to the development of the healthcare system in our country. We have agreed to launch joint pilot projects,” said Altair Akhmetov, Coordinator of the MIND Research Centre.
